INDOCHINE Vien has been a popular and exciting destination
for those in the know about good food for over 3 years. Snuggled smartly in
artsy and historical Atwater Village, (10 minutes from Downtown), this Vietnamese cafe defines
what excellent Vietnamese food is all about. Their menu highlights only the
finest selections from which to choose, always exceptionally fresh with
generous portions and pricing that won’t break your budget. The wait-staff is
fun, inviting, and cheery; they earn your business here. They care for their
reputation and go to great lengths to satisfy each and every customer.
The menu offers a number of
delicious traditional “Phos” from which to choose. These are Vietnamese rice noodle soups with hearty broths that
take a very long time to prepare. They don’t rush quality here, unlike so many other restaurants these days. These hearty
and healthy soups come with a number of ingredients from which to choose, sliced beef, meatballs, chicken and tofu, which
may be garnished with onions, cilantro, green onions, bean sprouts, jalapeño peppers, lime and aromatic Vietnamese basil. Another popular favorite
is the Bun Thit Bo Xao, strips of succulent marinated tenderloin beef and sweet sautéed onions served over Vermicelli rice noodles or Jasmine rice,
with shredded lettuce, mint, bean sprouts, marinated julienne radishes and carrots, crushed peanuts, and Vietnamese sweet
and sour sauce. Additionally there is a selection of rice plates from which to choose. Rice Plates come with fragrantJamine rice served with your choice of meat, garnished with
sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, lettuce and marinated julienned radish and carrots. Served with Vietnamese sweet and sour sauce.
One customer remarked on a recent visit, “I drive 15 miles to come here, it’s always good, I never have
to worry about what I’m eating. It’s the best every time, and I feel welcomed.” 3110 Glendale Boulevard Open 6 days a week
