"I am an artist living in Keizer, Oregon with my husband and daughter. I
received my BA in art from Willamette University. I paint in acrylic and oil and paint/draw on paper with various media. My
favorite subjects are antique photos and sometimes little birds. I am especially fascinated right now by early American and
miniature portraits, primarily primitive/naive ones."
a Special American
Reality

Elizabeth paints in a similar style of great American-Primitive artists such as Grant Wood, an American painter
with European
training. Grant is most famous for “American Gothic” which has become
an American icon. You will see traces of style additionally from the works of Ammi Phillips and Charles Palmer, all gothic-primitive
artists from the 19th century.
These are all real people. Elizabeth has taken old photographs and painted interesting portraits of times now gone.
